Belarus denied the US allegations about trying to sell weapons to Syria.

Belarus stressed that the aim of such allegations is to put pressure on it because of its firm stance which supports peaceful solution to the Syria’s crisis.

Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Savinykh said that “All the accusations of the American side... have no basis and are untrue."

This is nothing more than an attempt to put pressure on Belarus for its open and principled stance in support of a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria, Savinykh added.

He added that Belarus always follows the U.N. Security Council resolutions.

The United States' unilateral sanctions go against the spirit of constructive interaction between nations, he concluded.
